General Policies

The Woodruff P.E. Center is available for use by authorized members of the University community. The Health, Physical Education, Dance, and Athletics & Recreation needs and interests of Emory students, faculty, and staff receive priority. EmoryCards are the property of Emory University and are non-transferable, will be confiscated for misuse, and must be surrendered upon request. Refunds for facility membership will be given up to two weeks after purchase. There is a $15 processing fee. No refunds will be granted if employment is terminated.

Use of the facilities is a privilege. Individuals who do not cooperate with established policies may be asked to leave and/or have their use privileges revoked. If an EmoryCard is not presented upon request, privileges for that day will be suspended. Persons attempting to gain illegal entry will be denied access.

Center rules and policies are designed for the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of all members. Black-soled running shoes are not permitted in the arena or racquetball courts. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are prohibited in the Center and at all outdoor facilities (i.e., McDonough and Candler Fields). Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, motorized vehicles, and pets are not allowed in the Center or at any of the outdoor facilities. The Center and all stadiums are non-smoking areas.

Current facility hours and schedules are available on this website and posted in all activity areas.
